High blood pressure
As a common cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure is a syndrome with manifestations of rising systemic arterial pressure. According to World Health Organization, high blood pressure is determined as systolic pressure of 140mmHg or above, and diastolic pressure of 90mmHg or above. The disease can be divided into primary hypertension and secondary hypertension, of which the primary hypertension refers to the persistent rising of blood pressure due to neurological dysfunction, and the secondary hypertension refers to the high blood pressure caused by urinary system and intracranial disease and others. The disease pertains to the category of “dizziness” and “headache” in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
