Trigeminal neuralgia

Trigeminal neuralgia is the episodic and repeated brief instances of intense pain in the distribution area of facial trigeminal nerves. The pain usually involves the first, second and third trigeminal nerve on one side, and can be divided into primary and secondary pains. The disease mostly occurs in adults and older in age, and more frequently in women than in men. The disease is mostly one-sided pain and belongs to the category of facial pains in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
